POSITION: E-BUSINESS OPERATIONS & RECONCILIATION OFFICER

REPORTING TO: TEAM LEADER E-BUSINESS, DIGITAL & AGENCY BANKING

Purpose of position:

The E-Business Operations & Reconciliation Officer is responsible for the timely and accurate reconciliation of all E-Business product accounts while providing operational and technical support to ensure seamless service delivery. The role involves effectively managing customer and internal staff queries, complaints, and feedback, and regularly updating management on key issues and trends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile the E-Business Product accounts – daily basis
  • Prepare entries to correct any anomalies detected during reconciliation process
  • Prepare End of Month Proofs for the E-Business ledgers
  • Prepare MasterCard Settlement on daily basis & settlement of other e-business products as launched by the team (e.g. GTPay, Airtel/MTN Mobile Money, etc)
  • Liaise with Branches to monitor their reconciliations of e-business products
  • Assist in co-ordination of the departments project activities throughout a project’s life cycle (engage in the various product UATs & accounting entry confirmations)
  • Assist in product testing before roll out to live environment
  • MasterCard Chargeback and refunds management – refund customers for any failed transactions and follow up with MasterCard and EMP to retrieve customer’s funds
  • Provide Support on all e-business products and channels (availed to branches & internal staff)
  • Attend workshop/training for various Card payment schemes (E.g Verve, Visa & MasterCard) regularly and e-business products
  • Monitor performance of all e-business products by ensuring all accounting entries are dropping as expected & income collected on all the products.
  • Any other duty conferred by the Team Leader

Desired knowledge, skills and abilities set:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Commerce, Business Administration or any other related field
  • A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in E-Business Operations or VISA/Mastercard Settlement and Reconciliation.
  • Strong investigative skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a proactive approach when working with others.
  • Analytical skills
